I started Goodie Girl because I wanted to share the cookies I love with my family and friends. Since I started Goodie Girl, we’ve been committed to making great tasting, wholesome cookies that you can feel good about enjoying and sharing. That’s what you’ve come to expect from us.
We recently voluntarily recalled a limited number of Goodie Girl Magical Animal Crackers produced during a limited time period. The batch of product we recalled was erroneously packaged with cookies from a non-gluten free brand. As a mom and the founder, I recognize the significance of this issue. When we learned about the potential problem, we immediately took action – we alerted the FDA, as well as our retail partners to remove the product from shelves.
So, where do we stand today? Our team has been working tirelessly to understand what happened and to immediately put in place measures to prevent a future occurrence. We have taken proactive steps to further strengthen our manufacturing process, particularly with regard to the handling of allergens and products with allergens.
Specifically, we have:
• Permanently restricted access to high-risk area of the facility to highly-trained operators
• Implemented an additional QA line check prior to gluten-free product runs, appointing a dedicated QA operator to inspect lines between product runs
• Conducted a retraining across entire employee base
• Installed color-coded light bars inside the facility to clearly alert operators to which product is running at any given time
We know this is a serious concern for our consumers. We take our responsibility to heart and are redoubling our efforts to not only produce products that you love but that you can feel confident about.

We will get back to you as soon as possible.
